At Austin Coding Academy every teacher, admin and TA cares about its students future. They don’t want your money if you are not learning so they are constantly working to keep their curriculum up-to-date and challenging. I’ve seen this in practice as both a student and as a TA, they are always improving. Their teachers are working professionals with real-world experience and stories to share in class. And they always care about how the students do in class and in the future. The curriculum is solid and will give you a confident knowledge base web development.

I’m so incredibly happy I chose Austin Coding Academy for several reasons. The staff is awesome. They are very personable and the class sizes are pretty small, so your teachers know who you are, your strengths, and what you need help with. They are up-to-date on all of the latest technologies. I had an internship during my time at ACA and there were some new things that I had learned in class that the senior developers at the company had not even learned yet. Class times are optimal. They don’t have any courses (that I know of) that meet during regular business hours, so it’s very manageable if you also work a full-time job. ACA also prepares you for your job search. They have an extra job placement course at the end of all of your coding courses that preps you for interviews and helps you get your portfolio site/LinkedIn/Resume looking good for employers. Finally, the curriculum is very challenging, but this is a good thing! You REALLY get what you pay for. I HIGHLY recommend ACA to anyone interested in starting a career in technology!

If you are serious about changing careers, Austin Coding Academy will get you there. With the help of the fantastic teachers and other faculty at ACA, you WILL achieve your goals if you work hard and stay committed. This is not an easy program and you shouldn’t expect to be successful if you aren’t willing to work hard, sacrifice lots of free time, and struggle along the way, but if you commit to the program and follow the advice of the people trying to help you get a job, it WILL happen. I graduated at the end of April and had two job offers by mid June. All it takes is the right mindset and work ethic and you can do the same.

I came from a finance background and decided it was time for a career change. After weighing my options of for bootcamps in Austin I decided to go with ACA because I had heard good things and, because I couldn’t afford to quit my job and start an immersive, it was (by far) the most financially sound option. The entire staff was nothing but helpful and they all genuinely care about the future of their students. They are constantly looking for ways to improve curriculum. The classes are challenging, but ACA will give you the tools you need if you are dedicated to putting in the time and effort to learn a new skill and start a new career.

Austin Coding Academy is one of the most unique and wonderful education experiences I have had in my life. Before I started ACA I was a teacher for 9 years, and my mission was to (and still is) to express my deep loving commitment towards my student’s success and advocate for their voice in the community and choices the school makes for them. Austin Coding Academy breaks the barrier between students, instructors, administration and the larger community to insure that students who take the effort to attend classes and commit to learning (even if they might not know how), are successful in finding a new career. Of those who graduated, all are finding new opportunities that are exciting and challenging to them in the Web Development World and getting paid well to do it! Most of my peers have become my greatest support and closest friends. ACA offers continuous support to students after graduation to help students from networking to interview advice, and has helped me create great connections. To sum it up: ACA builds community, grows and evolves with quickly changing Tech, and commits to helping each student be successful.

I recently graduated from Austin Coding Academy’s Full-Stack Web Development bootcamp. I started in August of 2018 and finished my last class in May of 2019.
During the course I learned everything I needed to know about web development to get an entry level position with a local marketing company – that is, we started from beginner (HTML/CSS) and progressed to advanced concepts (building full-stack web applications using MERN stack).
The course is taught by experienced professionals working in the field, so they teach you what you need to know to get a job. All of my instructors were incredibly helpful and would go above and beyond to make sure that I fully understood each concept. If there was something I was struggling with they would always offer additional one-on-one tutoring.
They also have dedicated staff to help with job placement – this is where they really shine. Dan Cumming helped me with my resume and coached me to be articulate on the subjects that matter most.
I now understand how to learn new web development technologies quickly and will use these skills the rest of my life. Not only did I learn enough to break into a new field, but I had a lot of fun and made great friends along the way!

I’m grateful for the experience I gained through ACA and was able to land a job before graduating. I sincerely could not have broken into my career path without the skills and resources of ACA.
